Public speaking for tots? Hot Shots does it!

Every week, girls ages 2-6 step up to a microphone to tell everyone what makes them special! They also tell us their favorite food, color, and animal! When you see little girls that young speak in front of as many as 70 grown-ups and kids, it is amazing, often hysterical, and always heart-warming.

That happens dozens of times every week at Hot Shots Soccer for Girls.

We are dedicated to building girls’ (ages 2-6) athletic skills, but also their self-confidence, comfort in large social situations (hence the public speaking), love of reading (we start with a storytime and give girls 5 books to take home each week), and parental bonds (all of our games involve parents, aunts, uncles, and/or grandparents).

The season started Sunday, Sept. 12 (it’s not too late to sign up) and runs every Sunday through Nov. 14, with sessions at 9, 10, and 11 AM for all ages (2-6). The mixing of ages isn’t important because your daughter will never compete with other girls. She only plays with you, learning at her own pace. Any South Shore girl age 2-6 is eligible. The sessions are held at the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield at 37 Proprietors Drive.
