For 23 years, Hot Shots has built girls’ soccer skills and self-esteem in a supportive, non-competitive environment using imaginative games with puppets, parachutes, pillow fights, and tutus while also encouraging reading, art, public speaking, and community service.


HOT SHOTS BY THE NUMBERS;

  • 4,500 girls graduated
  • 3,000 books read every season by Hot Shots girls
  • 100% parent participation (as well as grandparents, aunts, and uncles)
  • $15,000 worth of books donated to grade school libraries
  • 100 speaking appearances each season by girls in front of the crowd of 60-100 parents and fellow participants each week
  • 150-300 pieces of art created by the girls every year
  • Dozens of special needs girls graduated
  • 200 coaches-in-training (girls in middle school, high school, and college)
  • $10,000 in college scholarships given to our young coaches
  • One of fewer than a dozen female sports programs honored by Boston College for making “a significant contribution to the development and advancement of women’s sports in Massachusetts…inspiring girls and women on and off the field.”
